Head Chef – New Opening – British Neighbourhood Restaurant

About this role

A new 120 cover neighbourhood restaurant that will be opening in South East London in 2024 is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the culinary team. As Head Chef, you’ll be instrumental in the overall running of the kitchen, ensuring the exceptional standards and helping to build a fantastic reputation in the local area.

You’ll work with the best quality seasonal ingredients to create produce led brasserie style British cuisine for an all-day dining a la carte menu.

About You

Previous experience as a Head Chef within busy all day dining restaurants and sound knowledge of British/European cuisine. Experience with opening a new restaurant would be beneficial, yet not essential.

You will need to be passionate about working with the freshest seasonal produce, utilising ingredients from select suppliers, which will be showcased through regularly changing menus and specials.

An inspiring leader who will mentor, develop and help to retain a team of 6-8 Chefs.

Your organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail will be vital in maintaining excellence.

Sound financial awareness with experience of ordering and rota writing. Proficient training in Food Safety, Health & Safety and HACCP.
