This much-loved neighbourhood restaurant and wine bar is seeking their next Head Chef. You’ll be instrumental in the overall running of the open plan kitchen, ensuring the exceptional standards and helping to build on an excellent existing reputation and loyal customer base.
You’ll work with the best quality seasonal ingredients to create produce driven and not overworked European menu, working closely with a talented General Manager and Group Chef.
The restaurant seats 40 covers (up to 75 covers per service). It is currently open for lunch and dinner Mon-Sat and closed on Sundays.
Previous experience as a Head Chef within high quality restaurants and sound knowledge of European cuisine. This opportunity could also suit a Senior Sous Chef read to move into a first Head Chef role.
You will need to be passionate about working with the freshest seasonal produce, utilising ingredients from select suppliers, which will be showcased through regularly changing menus and specials. An interest in world wines would also be beneficial.
An inspiring leader who will mentor, develop and help to retain a team of 8 Chefs.
Sound financial awareness with experience of ordering and rota writing, menu creation and dish specification. Proficient training in Food Safety, Health & Safety and HACCP.
Availability to work circa 48 hours per week, mixture of shifts.
