Head Chef – Gastro Pub – £55k – £60k

We are currently recruiting for a Head Chef for an established, independently owned Gastropub located in Woking. The venue comprises several indoor and outdoor dining and event spaces and serves creative, fresh British cuisine.

The successful Head Chef for the role will report directly to the business founder and owner and will be responsible for all aspects of the kitchen operation, ensuring exceptional standards and helping to build on an excellent existing reputation and loyal customer base.

The Person

Previous experience as a Head Chef within busy fresh food pubs and restaurants. You will need to be passionate about working with fresh, seasonal produce and utilising ingredients from select suppliers, showcased through regularly changing menus and specials.

An inspiring leader who will mentor, develop and help to retain a medium-sized team of Chefs.

Sound financial awareness with experience of ordering and rota writing, menu creation and dish specification. Proficient training in Food Safety, Health & Safety and HACCP.

Availability to work circa 48 hours per week, a mixture of shifts.
