We are looking to recruit a sous chef for this corporate contract kitchen within a prestigious head office. There are around 1000 employees on site that has catering facilities of a staff dining restaurant along with various hospitality meeting rooms.
As a sous chef you will support the head chef with the kitchen operation. There is a team of 5 chefs in the brigade who are cooking for breakfast & lunch service. The service will consist of a various street food style choices along with other hot & cold main course choices. There is a deli / coffee bar on site serving a range of high street branded items. Full hospitality including sandwich lunches, hot / cold buffets and occasional fine dining lunches & dinners.
The sous chef will have ample responsibility to be involved in the menu planning with the head chef and to be able to manage the team, adopt a hands on approach within the kitchen and be involved in the ordering & financial duties.
A junior sous chef moving towards a promotion will be considered but essential is a proven background with no unexplained gaps on the CV. Ideally you would have a contract background but other sectors will be considered as long as the passion and drive is eveident.
This role is Monday to Friday with hours between 7am and 3.30pm. Occasional evening overtime but quite rare.
