Overview

We are recruiting an experienced sous chef to work in one of the top UK venues in the education sector.

The site houses over 1000 people plus with an uptake of 90% for breakfast and lunch service. There is also a dinner service for around 500. The food served is of a very high standard due to the location on the venue.

The sous chef will:

  • Work within a team of 12 chefs
  • Be involved in high profile VIP dinners
  • Have excellent corporate style cooking skills
  • Have a background in fine dining as well
  • Support the Executive & Head Chefs on a daily basis

It is essential the sous chef has had previous experience in hospitality & fine dining along with B&I skills such as volume in numbers for retail or staff dining. It is also very important the sous chef has people skills, good managerial potential and trained culinary skills.

The role will be working Monday to Friday with occasional evenings and weekend functions. This will be paid back in overtime or days in lieu. Also closed bank holidays, Easter & Christmas holidays. There will also be 20 days paid holidays as well.

The sous chef will receive a competitive salary of £28,000 per annum.
