Sous Chef for hospitality & fine dining

 

We are looking for a Sous Chef to support our Head Chef along with a team of 2 chefs and 2 kitchen porters within a leading hospitality caterer. The contract is in leading firm with 500 employees, with services including:

 

  • Hospitality working lunches and fine dining
  • Large events
  • Café consisting of breakfast and free issue lunch.

 

The Sous chef will have a big focus on hospitality, delivering a high standard of cooking, designing menus in conjunction with the head chef, but also supporting the staff dining restaurant for breakfast and lunch.

 

As a Sous Chef you will be responsible for the supervision, preparation and service of fine dining/bistro food within the business. You will supply a top end standard of food for the dining rooms and working lunches in meeting rooms and event space.

 

As a sous chef you need to ensure that the highest standards are maintained at all times. Ensuring that the kitchen areas meet statutory and company requirements of H&S, FS and environmental legislation and procedures

Eye for detail, in contact with new trends and able to work on a very busy and pressured environment will also be required. As well as having a real passion for food, good communication skills and an enthusiastic personality.

 

This is a Monday to Friday position with paid evening overtime available. A competitive salary of up to £29k plus the paid overtime is on offer.
