Overview

An excellent opportunity has become available for a pastry chef or a strong pastry chef de partie to work in the pastry section of this grand location.

The pastry chef will be supporting the main kitchen within the business working alongside a similar skilled pastry chef.

This is a 5 out of 7 day working operation but the working week can be flexible depending on volumes of business. Excellent holiday time off ranging from 2 weeks at Easter, summer, Xmas and days off during the school holidays.

Brief on the pastry chef role as follows:

The pastry chef will be in a team of 2 chefs that are of the same level.

They will be responsible for the pastry prep of the main dining room (1000 covers lunch), evening meals and hospitality & event

The pastry produces – Morning biscuits and cakes

Lunch – Hot / Cold desserts, bakery items, deli items, afternoon tea cakes

Roughly enough pastry items for 1000 a day

Straight Shifts

One weekend on / one weekend off

This a fantastic opportunity for a pastry chef who wishes to express themselves within the hospitality sector. You will have input into new ideas, great produce and develop a working relationship with the fellow pastry chef

Ideally a background in hotels or the commercial contract catering sector. You will have at least 5 years’ experience as a pastry chef

Parking is available on site and the building is a short distance from the train station. Ideally, you need to live in the High Wycombe, Aylesbury, Maidenhead, Oxford and Hemel Hempstead areas.
