We are looking for a Head Chef to run the kitchen of our luxury retirement complex – we are offering a starting salary of £40,000.
Leading a team of 5 chefs we require a Head Chef with the ability to manage all aspects of the kitchen.
We require a Head Chef with good knowledge of British produce as well as a good understanding of the London dining scene and its current trends.
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for planning, sourcing and costing all menus – this will include speaking & liaising with guests to ensure that dishes they are familiar with make their way onto menus.
We offer a morning room service, for which the successful Head Chef will be expected to produce fresh pastries and breads – and a popular Sunday carvery – outside of that, we’re looking for a Head Chef with fresh ideas to help us improve our food offering.
Please remember that this is a retirement complex – we have up to 100 guests on site at any one time – dishes, whilst being created freshly on site, must be recognisable. Our food offerings are honest and hearty – it would not be considered ‘fine dining’.
